American Society of News Editors

The American Society of News Editors is a membership organization for newsroom leaders in print and online. Members include persons of suitable qualifications who are directing editors having immediate charge of journalistic policies and operations of newspapers, editorial and opinion pages, news Websites, wire services and other organizations that gather and disseminate news and information. Also, eligible are academic leaders and administrators of journalism programs who hold positions as Deans, Assistant Deans, and Faculty in the capacity of an endowed or distinguished chair in an accredited university or graduate school teaching journalism, and leaders and faculty of foundations and training organizations dedicated to the training of journalists.
